December 1, 1999

--Please be advised:

It is with great disappointment that I am writing to you this morning.
ACCC is standing down for an indefinite period of time due to several
reasons.

First, it has been since Nov. 7, that the last campaign closed down and
the site has received no other campaigns since. Secondly, I'm within 2
weeks of finals at school and can't afford the time to launch an all-out
blitz in campaigning for use. Inadvertantly, I'm within 2 weeks of having
to grow up and secure some meaningful employment since I won't be returning
to school...and I might end up not having the time to keep the site
operational and current until I'm settled in with a new job.

Having said that...my plans are to keep the ACCC Web-site up in order to
save our place. Time willing, I will be expanding the site to include other
sims (to be named later). This project should begin sometime after the new
year...as long as we survive Y2K 8-).

I'll be scaling back the site a bit in order to gain back some space, so
if you happen by ACCC, don't be suprised if your bookmark gives you a '404'
error...just backspace on the url to the root and hit enter.

Thanks go out to all who had participated, in what I thought was a valiant effort to determine who the Number 1 FA Virtual Fighter Squadron on the NET!!!

-- I've given it some thought and I have decided that ACCC should include all campaigns that participating squadrons commit themselves too -- in regards to combating other squadrons who are not currently participants; I've come to the conclusion that it's not fair to subject these limiting factors.

-- Current Conflict data, to include ROEs and Debriefings, will include non-participating squadron information that is only relevant to the campaign. Participating squadrons will still be represented by thier squadron patches, but non-parts. will be represented by their respective squadron designators only (ie. 24th TFS ).

Last Note: If anyone has an idea or suggestion, please forward them to me...anything to improve the quality of life here at ACCC

...In the near future

I'll be splitting the Current Conflicts and Global Leader boards up into two (2) separate categories: Non-libbed and Libbed! Since they can't be mixed on the battlefield (...or sky in this case), I figured it would cause inconsistencies in the true statistical nature of the data collected.

I'm not sure where, but I'll be adding a page for squadrons to post some of their screenshots to. Their will be some restrictions as to the amount, but...more on that later.

Once things take off, and I start incorporating other sims into the mix, I'm going to add a page featuring future hits from the companies supplying us with our habits...such as Jane's, Microprose, etc...
